Privacy Policy

MoonGuess is a word puzzle game for iPhone and iPad published by Sofiia Bashutska (“we”), who is responsible for your data. There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email or contacts, and the app doesn't use your location, camera, microphone or photos.
On your device
Your games, statistics, streaks and settings are stored only on your device, and deleting the app deletes them. Streak reminders, if you turn them on, are scheduled on your device as well.
What we collect and why
- Usage statistics, sent to our analytics provider: gameplay events (such as games played and hints used), device model, iOS and app version, and language and region. They're linked to a random ID that doesn't identify you. We use them to improve the game.
- Crash reports, sent to our error-reporting provider: error details, device model and app version. We use them to fix bugs.
- Ads, shown by Google AdMob. Google collects your advertising identifier (if you allow tracking), IP address, device information and ad interactions to show and measure ads and, with your consent, to personalize them. How Google uses this data.
This data is sent over encrypted connections and kept only as long as needed for these purposes. Our providers are required to protect it at least as well as this policy describes. We don't share it with anyone else unless the law requires it, and we never sell it.
Your ad choices
- Tracking: iOS asks whether MoonGuess may track you. You can change your answer anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: you're asked for consent before your data is used for personalized ads. You can change your choice anytime in MoonGuess's Settings → Privacy Choices.
If you decline, you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your activity in other apps and websites.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
Ads are based on your consent, given in the consent form. You can change or withdraw it at any time in Settings → Privacy Choices. Usage statistics and crash reports are based on our legitimate interest in running and improving the game. Some providers process data outside Europe using standard safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, restrict or object to its use, or complain to your data protection authority. We hold nothing that identifies you, so we usually can't match data to you, but contact us and we'll help. You can also manage Google's ad data in My Ad Center.
Children
MoonGuess isn't directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
